All Night Long

Cambri has always been a very active baby. As soon as I could feel her kick in the womb I knew we would have our hands full. She is so active that until recently we had to swaddle her to get her to sleep. If we didn't she would keep moving and not be able to fall asleep, or fall asleep and wake herself up. Even with swaddling, most nights she managed to break free, leaving Johnny and I to get up with her several times a night. A few weeks ago (maybe longer, time seems to blur) she became strong enough to roll to her tummy while still being swaddled. We were worried that with her hands wrapped in the blanket she wouldn't be able to keep her head up to breathe, and so we decided to discontinue swaddling. The very first night we did, she slept through the night, and has done so most nights since. It turned out the whole time all she wanted to do was sleep on her tummy.

All the fighting and months of sleepless nights seem to be over.

Unless Murphy and her law come back to bite me.
