We had our sonogram today, the baby looks healthy and very active. Only 20 weeks or so until we get to meet our little one. Since we are half way through the pregnancy I thought I would share some pictures for those who don't see us regularly !

Johnny has been driving back and forth from Manhattan to Salina almost daily, for almost two years without incident. Sure, there has been normal wear and tear but nothing significant. I thought we would make it until he quit having to make the drive given that in less than six weeks he will no longer be working for O'reillys. That was not our luck though, this morning he hit a deer. I am so glad he is okay, unfortunately our little mini has seen better days. Hopefully the rest of his traveling days are without incident, and once he starts his new job after the first of the year, he can upgrade to bicycle :)
Well it seems summer has officially come to an end. The pool closed Sunday and school started today. I haven't posted many blogs this summer so I thought I would post some pictures of what we have been up to, and of course, a picture from Bella's first day of school!
Ten years ago today, Johnny and I were just a couple of kids having a kid. Many people thought we would fail, not just as parents, but as a couple. We just wouldn't be able to handle it all. We were too young.
I look at this beautiful 10 year old girl, that I get to call my daughter, and am so thankful that she came in to my life when she did. It hasn't been easy, everyone was right about that. But because of her we have always strived to do our best, and then do it better, so she could have the best life possible.
When I look at my daughter and see the young lady she is growing in to, I know we have to be doing something right. She is so kind, understanding, smart, and full of love. Watching her grow and mature brings a constant smile to my face. She never ceases to amaze me.

Sometimes I miss Kansas City so much. I decided to bring some of it to my home. I can't say it will make me miss it any less, but it certainly doesn't hurt to see a little bit of Royals blue and Chiefs red everyday
Bella is playing softball for her third year now. She was a little hesitant after last year to play again. She didn't understand why she didn't get to play any "fun" positions. At the time she was more interested in watching butterflies and drawing her name in the dirt, which was fine with us, but was hurting her play time.
We explained to her if you want to play and really play you have to give your all. Practice outside of practice, be determined to be the best when you practice with your team etc.
She took our words and ran with them. She has been working her butt off. Yesterday was her first game, she played left center, she played 1st base, she pitched and threw 3 outs and allowed no 0 runs! She hit the ball, HARD, and scored a run! The team as a whole did great too, and we won 6 to 0. I have always enjoyed watching her playing, but watching her play and be succesful is even better. I am so proud of her hard work, and I hope she knows she can do anything she sets her mind too and this is proof!
Its hard to believe we have been together 11 years now and married for 8. It hasn't always been easy, but overall it has been a great ride and I can't imagine taking this ride with anyone else. We took a 4 day weekend and spent it doing house work (we can both park in the garage now) and some us time. We went to dinner and a movie Saturday and took the jetskis out today. It was a great anniversary weekend and I look forward to all the years ahead of us. I love you Johnny!
I know this is late, but I wanted to share some pictures. We hosted Easter at our house this year so I don't have many. I got distracted cooking and hiding Easter eggs that I forgot to take some. We did go to an Easter egg hunt the day before so that is mostly what I will share. Hope you had a great Easter!
Bella has been growing her hair out for nearly two years now, waiting until it was long enough to donate to Locks of Love. It finally was, so we cut it all off, and now she begins the process of regrowing it, so she can donate again. I'm so proud of her for making a choice to help others who need it at such a young age. Not to mention her new "hair do" is adorable
In 28 years Johnny has grown (from what I have heard) a rambunctious little boy, to
an amazing father, husband, and person. I couldn't be more proud of the person he has become. Even though we spent a majority of his birthday in the car getting his birthday present, it was a great day. Happy birthday, I love you!
It seems like just yesterday I was holding my new born baby girl. In reality though yesterday we were having her 3rd birthday party! In 3 years Cambri has grown into a beautiful and amazing little girl, so full of personality and independence. I love you so much baby girl (and yes I know, as you told me this morning, you are not a baby) HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY!!!
