On an August morning in 2009, I woke up and then woke you up. I made you breakfast, helped you pick out your clothes, get dressed, brush your teeth and do your hair. I drove you to your first day of Kindergarten. We took pictures, walked inside, found your class line, and then followed your line to your classroom. It was just the beginning of your elementary years, but all beginnings come to an end eventually.
You no longer have me pick out your clothes, I dont need to help you get dressed, or brush your teeth and hair. You walk to school on your own and make your own breakfast. As the years go by you need me less and less.
Today marks the end of your elementary years, and come August a new beginning of middle school. Even though you no longer need me like you used to, I have enjoyed watching you change and grow and become your own person, and I look forward to watching you continue to do so in the future. You are becoming such a kind hearted, loving, beautiful, smart, amazing young lady.
I love you, and hope your last day of the 6th grade is amazing. Here's to the future!
