Goodbye Turbo

Once upon a time we had 4 dogs, 3 cats, a rabbit, a snake, a lizzard, a turttle, and a bird. Last night we said goodbye to another one of our pets, Turbo.

He has been a member of our family for the last 7 and a half years and will be truly missed. We love you Turbo Worm

A Tragic Loss

This weekend I got some tragic news. My cousin was in a car accident with his family. His wife and two of his three children were killed in the accident.

Laura, Joshua and Joy you will be forever missed.

Hello Claire

Yesterday I called my sister in law Katie. She didn't answer and so I assumed that she was busy with her twin daughters. They are in their terrible twos and I imagine its hard to get to the phone quite often. About 20 minutes later I receive a call and the caller ID says Katie. I answer and to my surprise it is not Katie. It is Claire, one of the twins. Claire and I had a conversation for maybe two minutes before I heard "Claire, who are you talking to?" In the background.

It amazes me that Claire and I were able to hold a conversation as long as we did. It seems like just yesterday she and Grace were just these itty bitty babies. Wow how time flies, and I think a trip to Manhattan to visit these two growing girls needs to happen because they are growing up too quick!

Hide and Seek

First I want to apologize for the lack of blog posts lately. I have been working a lot of overtime. Some of it has been required some of it has been voluntary, but I am back... Atleast for today!

The other day I put Cambri in the living room and put the baby gate up. I then left the living room for a brief moment to use the bathroom. When I returned Cambri was no where to be found. Because she is just a baby I knew she had to be in the living room some where. Here is where I found her.

Copy cat

Cambri has learned to mimic peoples sounds, and it is so adorable! I am now constantly doing it, with all sounds but mostly with the word Mama. She says Dada and she says Mama, but I want to make sure that she says Mama to her Mama first!

Nine Month Doctor Visit

Cambri had her nine month check up on Wednesday and though we did find out she has an ear infection everything else was good. She had a bit of growth spurt since her six month check up. She is now 17 pounds and 2 ounces (twentieth percentile) and 26 and 3/4 inches long (twenty fifth percentile). Her head circumference is still baby genius size in the seventy fifth percentile!


On top of a pretty good check up the little girl can now stand with out support! I haven't been able to catch it on camera yet, but hopefully soon. It seems walking may just be right around the corner!

New Years 2012

For the new year we went to a K State basketball game. It was a gift from Johnnys sister and brother in law, and the whole family went! It was my first game and I really enjoyed it.

That evening we stayed up waaay to late playing catch phrase, turns out Johnny is somewhat of a pro at it! Overall we had a great time and I can't wait for the next family get together!
