Four Month and Seven Year Doctor Visit

Cambri had her four month well child check up today. She weighed 12 pounds 9 ounces and was 23 and 1/4 inches long. She was in the 12th percentile for height and the 25th percentile for weight. Her head circumference was in the 50th percentile. I'm still thinking baby genius. She got two shots today that have made her a little fussy but other that that all was good. She is a happy healthy baby. The doctor also gave us the all clear to start solids, so baby food, here we come!
Bella also went to the doctor today. She was 44 pounds and 48 and 1/2 inches tall. That put her in the 8th percentile for height and the 30th percentile for weight. They don't measure her head any more, but I know she was a baby genius too. She also got a shot today which was scary until she realized it didn't hurt. Now she is already to start second grade!

Garage Sale

This weekend we had our very first garage sale. It went great and we plan on doing it again next weekend in hopes of getting rid of everything left over. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be considering it was 105 degrees outside. I couldn't have done it with out my in laws coming to help sell and watch the girls, so thanks a bunch John and Nancy. Here are some pictures of the event.

The kids weren't really for sale... there isn't enough money in the world for me to part with them. Oh and Bella was cheaper because she is slightly more used than Cambri!

Growing Up

My kids are growing up all too fast. Bella is trying so hard to be just like a teenager. When she saw her new room for the first time she said "wow it looks like a teenagers room, awesome!" Then the other day she got her hair cut and she said  "I love it, it looks just like a teenagers hair!"
With her birthday money she wanted to buy clothes "because teenagers like to buy clothes!" Then when she picked out a couple outfits she said "Mommy do these look like something a teenager would wear?" I thought I still had 6 years before the dreaded teenage years but she is trying to rush me into it. Then Cambri changes almost daily. One day she rolls over, the next she takes her first bites of cereal, a few days later she finds her feet.
Oh, and she loves to stand! She loves to stand so much I am worried she is going to skip crawling and go straight to walking.
Some days I got to sit her down and she refuses to bend her legs, forcing me to let her stand. It's great watching them grow up but at the same time I would like for them both to slow down so I have time to enjoy it.

Sisters

When Cambri was first born my mother in law got the girls shirts that said big sister and little sister. I was finally able to take some pictures of them in them.

Oh what cute sisters they are.

Belated Happy Birthday

Okay okay, I know it's a little late since Bella's birthday was Friday, but I have been really busy, so here is how the 7th Birthday went. Friday I had to work (my work is babysitting) so I took the kids to McDonald's for lunch and let them play in the play place and then we went to our gyms indoor pool. The had a blast jumping off the diving board.

Bella wasn't feeling good when we got home so she went to bed early and got some rest. Saturday she felt better, which was good since it was the day of the birthday party. We had family and friends come over and it was a great time.

Sunday the girls great grandparents (my dad's parents) came to visit. It was their first time meeting Cambri.
It was a fun exciting weekend, however I still can't believe my baby girl is 7!

Seven years ago today at 12:57pm I gave birth to a beautiful 6 pound 7 ounce 20 inch long baby girl. It was one of the happiest, most painful, scariest, exciting moments in my life. It's hard to believe it has been seven years already, but it has, and here is the proof...

Happy Birthday Bella!

Twins Almost 7 Years Apart

So tonight I was going through some pictures and found pictures of Bella as a baby. I was shocked at how much Bella and Cambri look alike. If they were the same age they could probably pass as twins. Identical twins. This is Bella at 3 months old.

And this is Cambri at 3 months old.

Take A Bite Of This

The last few days have been rough. Really rough. It may have been because I told my sister in law Katie that Cambri is only getting up once or twice a night. Or maybe something else has provoked it, but Cambri has been waking up a lot. I at first equated it to a cold, but then thought about it, and she is hungry every time she wakes. Sunday night I got up 5 times with her, last night Johnny got up with her 3 times. She doesn't sleep too much during the day so it isn't because she has night and day turned around. I decided to try some cereal before bed. It helped Bella when she was getting hungry more often during the night, and I hope it works for Cambri too!

Wish me luck, I'll let you know how it goes!

Project Birthday Party: Part Two

The painting is done! Well besides a chalk board wall that's in the works. The bed is practically finished, we will be picking it up Sunday.

The TV works and is ready to be set up, its sitting on the kitchen table waiting for a home.

Even the rabbit Mojita got a new cage.

I am getting excited to see the final result and even more excited to see Bellas reaction.

Project Birthday Party: Part One

Bella's birthday is next week and for it we decided to redo her room. New walls, new bed, new TV, well, new everything. She is visiting her great grandparents so this week has been the perfect time to get everything together. Here is what we have done so far.

Painting this room was the messiest most fun I have ever had painting! I just hope she likes it!

Independence Day 2011

Bella was leaving late Sunday night so we took her to the firework stand and let her pick out 20$ of her own fireworks. This was the first year we decided she was old enough to light them with some supervision.
 Lighting the firework with Daddy...
 Wow pretty...
 Run before it blows...
 Yay...
 Lighting the next one...
And of course sparkler...

Tonight we took Cambri to her first firework show here in town, and though it was not nearly as good as what we are used to, it was still nice.
She did such a good job watching, didn't even cry!
Happy Independence day everyone, I hope you enjoyed it!!!
