The Next Chapter

As you know we are moving back to Manhattan. We recently found out some of our best friends are moving also, but instead of moving to Manhattan they are moving to Houston Texas. It hit me in the last few days that they aren't just gonna be down the road or even just a few hours away. There will be no more sleep overs, birthday parties, dinners, or just random get togethers. Though I am sure we will remain friends, our visits will have to be preplanned and days long instead of random and spur of the moment. I am excited for each of us to begin new chapters in our lives. However they are one of the things I will miss most about Raymore. Forever will we be the LaneCocks.

I love you guys and will miss you tons!

It's Really Happening

Johnny was recently offered to manage the O'Reilly Auto Parts store in Salina KS. We have decided to take the job. We are moving back to Manhattan, and he will commute to Salina for work. My job has agreed to let me transfer assuming we can get business class internet set up there and work out what I will do in the situation I have system issues.

I'll admit I'm a little scared, right now everything is working out perfectly and it all just seems to good to be true. Infact I was a little scared to write this blog, because I'm worried I might jinx it, but I couldn't hold in the excitement any longer!

Today I started taking our pictures off the wall and packing them in boxes and it hit me. We are starting a new chapter. We are leaving our first house to move back home. The house will go on the market this spring and the life we have built here will just be another memory, like the pictures I'm packing.

I feel like Raymore is where we really started our life and I'm gonna miss it. This was where we bought our first house. This is where we had our second child. This is where we started doing everything on our own and became adults. Not like the I'm 18 I'm an adult I know everything, but actual adults who make adult decisions. Like moving with two children.

We love what we have built here but we want to give our kids more. We want them to be close to their grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. We want to make new memories of family outings at the lake. Sleepovers with their best friends, also known as Grace and Claire (aka the cousins). And to remember all the good times they had with their grandparents one day when they are gone.

So yes we have a house here and yes I'm going to miss it, but in Manhattan we will have our family. We can build our house around that, and that family will make our new house our first real home!

I can't wait to see where this chapter in life takes us, and I'm glad I get to write it with the people I love most in the world! Goodbye Raymore and Manhattan, we are back!

Bedtime

Cambri has been having troubles going to sleep recently. Once we leave the room she runs to the door and screams and screams. We were able to put her in a play pen for awhile and then we would stand by the door and slow inch our way out. She has since figured out how to climb out of the play pen though, so we have been taking turns sitting with her until she falls asleep, or is at least okay with us leaving the room.  The other night Johnny fell asleep with her and I just had to snap a picture.
