Love and Marriage

Yesterday Johnny's little sister got married. It was a beautiful wedding and I couldn't be more happy for Cassie and Trenton.

Congratulations to you both!

18 Month Checkup

Cambri had her 18 month checkup today. She is meeting all her motor skill expectations, speech expectations, and perfectly healthy. She weighed 22 pounds 9 ounces (25th percentile). She was 31 inches long (25th percentile). Her head circumference was 46 cm (48th percentile). He said her pigeon toed feet and bowed legs will definitely straighten out, and its completely normal for them to be that way at this age. He said that since she can walk forward, backward, and run, she should now work on jumping, which is funny because we were actually trying to jump right before he walked in the room. She has several words now, here are some of the ones I can think of... Shoes, cheese, that, no, baby, mama, dada, thanks, night night, Bella, juice, me, she can say all of our pets names, she just recently learned to say Grandma though it sounds more like mommy but we all know who she is talking about. The doctor said to expect her to put two words together soon, I'm excited for that. She eats good, she sleeps good, she can point to all of her body parts, stack blocks, and has become a bit of a drama queen.

She had to get two shots, as soon as the nurse came in to do them she freaked. Almost like she remembered what the nurse does when she comes in with those syringes. She screamed, the nurse gave the shots and she screamed some more. She screamed all the way out the door except when I asked her to wave bye to the nurse, then she stopped screaming and glared at her. She screamed while I put her in the car seat, and screamed half the way home. I know by the time she was dressed those shots didn't hurt anymore, but boy did she milk it for all it was worth.

She doesn't have another appointment until she turns two, so I'm excited to see what changes the next 6 months has to bring before she hits the terrible two's!
