Cambri is 5

Wow, it's been 5 years since my beautiful little girl has entered the world. The 7lb 4oz, 19 inch little girl, came rushing into this world, and hasn't slowed down since.

Cambri, in the last 5 years you have become a little girl with a personality all your own. You are funny, smart, playful, you push buttons, and stretch the limits. Much like your brother, you are determined to do anything and everything, and you display a confidence in doing those things, that I imagine many people only wish they had. Your confidence scares us daily. You climb, you jump, you run, and we have had to learn to be there to catch you, but yet stay far enough away not to sway your confidence.

This year will bring lots of changes, you will start school and begin your first sport. With those will come new experiences, and I look forward to watching you learn, grow and develop even more.

At the same time, I hope you never lose your confidence. As life gets harder and you take bigger jumps, and climb higher, and run faster (not just in the literal sense, but in life itself) know that you can do it all! Also know, Mom and Dad will always be there cheering you on and to catch you if ever you do fall.

We love you to the moon and back, Happy birthday baby girl!

Reece is 1

One year ago today, at 4:10am, an 8 pound 20 inch long baby boy graced the world with his presence. The world calls him Reece Michael Lane. I call him son.

I cant believe a year has already gone by, and what an amazing year it has been. Reece, you were the the perfect addition to our family. Your sisters adore you, and you them. You keep your Mom and Dad on their toes, and fill our days with even more joy.

You are the most determined little boy I have met. There isnt anything you can't do. You always try and try again. Its amazing just watching you figure things out. If you keep that trait, you will have everything you could ever want out of life.

At a year old, you are walking, talking (you say Mama, Dada, and call both of your sisters Bella), you climb absolutely everything. Finally after 11 months of restless nights, we moved you to your own room, and you are sleeping through the night! You love to play ball, and your favorite food is ice cream. You have also recently learned how to a throw a tantrum  though you could have waited to learn that one.

I am sad at how quickly this year has passed, but I also love to watch you learn and grow. I can't  wait to see what the next year has to bring.

Happy birthday, little guy, I love you!

Has Spring Sprung

Today when I got off work, my car said it was 83 degrees out. I know spring isn't oficially here, and it will probably be several weeks before we have several consecutive days at that temperature, but for now, we are going to enjoy it!

Ice Cream Sandwich

How this morning played out....

Cambri "I'm hungry."
Me "what do you want to eat?:
Cambri "an ice cream sandwich"
Me "you can't have an ice cream sandwich for breakfast, pick something else."

She leaves the room, and comes back 3 minutes later eating an ice cream sandwich

Me "I said you can't have an ice cream sandwich for breakfast."
Cambri "I'm not."
Me "what are you eating?"
Cambri "an ice cream sandwich."
Me "what time of day is it."
Cambri "morning"
Me "what meal is in the morning?"
Cambri "breakfast"
Me "so what are you eating for breakfast?"
Cambri "nothing"
Me "but you are eating an ice cream sandwich."
Cambri "ya, I'm eating an ice cream sandwich in the morning, not for breakfast."
