We have always said no kids in the bed, but awhile back Cambri started sleeping in our bed. It's a long story how it happened so I'm going to skip it, but this of course was not one of our best ideas. It also made Bella want to occasionally sleep in our bed. Having one child in the bed can be awful, they tend to sleep sideways, with their feet in your face, occasionally they insist on laying on you, they kick, squirm and just plain move non stop. So two of them was terrible, but we didn't want Bella to feel left out so every once in awhile we let that happen.
Knowing we have a baby on the way, who will be up multiples times a night, meaning we will be getting in and out of bed multiple times, we knew this had to stop. So last week we started a count down for Cambri, telling her Saturday would be the day she sleeps in her big girl bed. Everyday we reminded her and by Saturday she went to bed in her own room, with only a small fight. It has been like that every night, though we do wake up to find that at some point in the night she left her room and came to our bed. We thought things were going good. Until last night, last night, the 5th night of doing this, she slept the whole night in her own bed. Now things are going great!
P.S. I don't expect it to be like that every night, but was so proud of her I thought I would share!
