Half of my family is in Manhattan today, so Valentine's Day is a no go for us, but that's okay because we show each other our love everyday! Can't wait for the family to be whole again so we can do what we do every Valentine's day (and every other day of the year) and spend time together loving each other! Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Here is a picture of my Valentine's!
Sometimes we all get caught up Living In The Fast Lane called life. This blog is here to help us all slow down and enjoy the little things in life before it is too late.

Grandpa Bergie
I have been blessed to have all of my grandparents my entire life thus far. I know many people never get to experience the fun and love of having their grandparents a part of their childhood let alone for 26 years of their life. This past weekend my grandpa passed away after a battle with lung cancer. I remember all the great times we had as I was a child and am glad my children got to meet him and enjoy him too. Unfortunately most of my house is packed due to our upcoming move and all my pictures have been moved to storage so I can't post any.
There is many pictures, of us riding horses, him hitching the horses up to take us on wagon and sleigh rides, playing in grandpa's old leather chair that he had worn out and duct taped back together and worn out again before eventually getting rid of it. Swimming off the dock on the lake in the back yard, ice skating on the pond in the pasture. I realize now that I am an adult how much work he did to show us kids a great time, and I am forever grateful for the memories he has provided. I can only hope to one day provide similar memories to my grand kids.
Goodbye Grandpa, I love you and will miss you always.
