Potty

So the other day Johnny brought in Bella's old big girl bed and the training potty from the garage. We got the bed set up (there is a story coming on that, I promise) and put the potty in the bathroom. I haven't really tried to do any training with the potty, and Cambri seemed more interested in playing in it then sitting on it. Until today. Tonight I was giving her a bath and all of a sudden, she starts trying to climb out. She was clean, so I started to dry her off. She threw the towel down and points at the potty. I figured since she was showing interest in it, that I would set her on it and tell her what we do. The minute I sat her down, I heard a tinkle. I am so proud, she held her potty instead of going in the bath, which is a hard thing to do, even for big kids. Then she told me exactly what she needed with out me ever having to tell her. She is such a smart big girl!

Birthday Girl

Bella, you are 8, and I don't know what else to say except 8 is great. When I think about how fast 8 years have flown by I know it will only be a blink of an eye and 8 more will have passed. By then you will be 16 and I am sure there will be days you hate me, and days you love me more than anything in the world. By then you will be what you want to be now, a teenager. It makes me feel every sense of emotion, fear, excitement, happiness, to know that this time will come, and faster than I am prepared for. But when that time comes I hope you know then, what you know now, that I love you times infinity. I will be there for you no matter what, good or bad. There is no love like a mother and child, and one day you will understand this. So for the next 8 years and every year after know that you will always be my baby girl. I love you, and happy 8th birthday.

15 Month Checkup

Yesterday we had Cambri's 15 month check up. It went well, minus the fact we had to wake her up from daycare to take her, and wake her up from nap in the car to take her back to daycare. Oh ya, and minus the shot. She weighed 21 lbs (20th percentile), was 30 inches long 25th (percentile), and her head circumference was 45 and 1/2 cm (50th percentile). She still has a big head due to the fact she is a baby genius. Our only concern was that she has been really bow legged and pigeon toed, so we asked the doctor about it. He gave her condition some fancy name, but in the end said everything will straighten out on its own. He was very impressed with her words (she has 5 now), and that she knows where her belly button and her nose are when asked! He told us she can now move to a front facing car seat (yay!), and that picky is eating normal. He was right on track with everything, until he said picky eating, this little lady will eat anything as long as its not watermelon, and that isn't a joke! Picky eater is the opposite of what we have, in fact we call her a shovler :)

Color Run

This past Saturday, me, my mom, and my friend Natalie did a 5k called the Color Run. It isn't your traditional 5k. We walked the whole thing, and every k you finish you get sprayed with powdered paint. It was a blast, and packed. 15,000 people showed up and there was another run on Sunday for even more. All the proceeds went to a great charity, the Ronald McDonald House, and I'm glad we got to help out. Here is pictures from the event!
