Six Month Doctor Visit

Cambri had her six month check up today. She had to get four shots, which are never fun (for her or for mom). She weighed 14 pounds 10 ounces, and was 25 inches long. She was in the 15th percentile for weight, 20th percentile for height, and her head circumference was in the 75th percentile.

She is my little weeble wobble bobble head baby, and a perfectly healthy one at that.

Catching Up: Part Three - St Louis Zoo

This past Saturday morning when I got off work we headed to the St. Louis Zoo. It was a lot of fun. Bella got her face painted, and Cambri got carried most of the day (she enjoyed that way more then the stroller.) It was perfect whether for the zoo, and we even saw an elephant doing tricks, here are some pictures.

Half A Year

Today Cambri is 26 weeks, making her officially half a year old. I can't believe it has been that long since she was born already. It really seems like just yesterday. This means 26 more weeks is going to pass way to soon.

Catching Up: Part Two - Turtle

Last week Johnny found a turtle on the side of the road and brought it home. Imagine that Johnny brought home a turtle. This is something he has been doing since he was a child. He once even made an article in the news paper for being an outstanding turtle racer.

Of course Bella wants to keep him, even named him Michaelangelo. She made a race track for him too, and it turns out he is a pretty good racer. However I don't think he will be a forever pet but one that is fun for a little awhile.... Maybe just for the winter.

Catching Up: Part One - Royals

I haven't been the best about updating my blog lately. I have been busy adjusting to a new job with an overnight schedule and blogs just haven't been on my mind. They are now though, so I am here to update you with everything we have done the last few weeks, one day at a time. Today we will talk about the Royals.

At the beginning of September (yes it has been that long since this event took place) my Mom's husband Brett sent us some Royals tickets. He had signed Bella up for a birthday package at the beginning of the season and these were her free birthday tickets.

It was a lot of fun, even though the Royals lost. Thanks Brett for the tickets and hopefully next year you and Mom can come with!

Breakfast In Bed

Yesterday morning I got home from work and laid down to sleep. A couple hours into my sleep time I woke up to the smell of food. I was exhausted, and though it smelled amazing I wasn't hungry enough to get up and eat.

I didn't have to, Johnny brought me breakfast in bed. Such an amazing husband I have. Thanks Johnny for being so great. I love you!

Sittin

Cambri can officially sit on her own. Only for a short period of time, but still sitting without support. She gets excited pretty quickly and falls over because her balance isn't that good, but it will get better.

She is getting so big! A scooter, a roller, a sitter. Soon she will be a crawler, then a walker, them a talker. So excited, yet sad at the same time!

Fall

As most of you know, this summer was hot. Not just normal summer hot but extra hot. Hot like over 100 degrees for several weeks straight with no rain hot. Hot like the air conditioner ran all day everyday without a break trying to keep the house cool. It seemed like every day I checked the whether it said HEAT ADVISORY.

It has finally cooled down. I can take Bella and Cambri outside longer than to walk from the car to the grocery store. I can sit outside without sweating in 2.5 seconds. I can turn my air conditioner off. I hope it stays cool now. I know its not fall yet, and I know there is still a few more warm days in our future, but right now this whether is amazing!!!

P.S. Winter this does not mean I am ready for you yet!

Stupid Car

I was driving home from work last night. Well technically I was driving home this morning, I got off work at 1:30am. I am currently working in Higginsville Missouri which is about an hour away from home. About 35 minutes into my trip home my car starts making this really loud clanking noise. I thought I had a flat tire and because I was in the middle of no where I decided to only slow down and continue until I found a lit gas station. I thought that was a better idea than pulling over on the side of a pitch black highway. Yes I knew that if it was infact a flat tire my rim and tire would be destroyed but I was willing to take that risk. When I got to the gas station and got out of the car I saw I had no flat tire. At that point I thought maybe something behind the tire had broke and because it still seemed to drive okay I would just tell Johnny about it when I got home. When I pulled out of the gas station the noise was worse and the car was violently shaking. So I turned around and pulled back into the gas station and got out of the car again. The gas station clerk came outside and took a look and pointed out I was missing three of the four lug nuts on my passenger side front tire and that the fourth was barely on.

I called Johnny and he said to take one lug nut off each tire and put them on that tire leaving three on each tire. I started to do that and two men pulled in the lot and helped me. As we go to put the lug nuts on the tire we notice that not only are the original lug nuts missing but so are two of the lug nut studs meaning I can only have two lug nuts on that tire. I call Johnny and he says do not drive home. It is then 3am in the morning and he loads up the girls to come get me. We got home about 4am this morning. We went and picked the car up after we woke up today and Johnny fixed it as soon as we got home. I'm upset my car keeps breaking, but I am glad it wasn't worse and the tire didn't fall off while driving, and at least I didn't have to wait 9 long months to get it fixed this time!

Sick

So yesterday morning I woke up looking like I had gotten punched in the face!

I went to The Minute Clinic and they said my condition was too severe and they couldn't help me. I then went to Urgent Care. It turns out I had allergies causing a sinus infection. With the allergies my eyes itched and I rubbed them giving myself pink eye. The sinus infection the doctor said is very severe and that's what caused the swelling in my face. She said if I don't feel better by Tuesday or I get worse or get a fever before Tuesday I need to go to the emergency room because the sinus infection is so bad it could easily spread to my brain. I left with three prescriptions as well as I am supposed to take an over the counter allergy medicine. It looks like its time to rest and get better. With a new job I can't afford to be sick!
