Grilling

We like to grill out several times a week every season except winter. Johnny just bought a new grill a few weeks ago and it is great. Last night we went to grill pork chops after not grilling since Sunday and this is what we found...

We cleaned it all out and cooked dinner, then opened it again this evening and what did we find??? The same thing, a grill full of nest. I came inside and found this...

Turbo perched on pillow looking guilty as ever. I guess he is practicing his bird skills... Don't worry I know Turbo didn't actually do it. I guess we need to invest in a grill cover ASAP!

10 Looong Months

10 months ago I accidentally blew out the motor on my Ford Focus. For 10 months I have been waiting for Johnny to fix it. Today it is finally finished. I am so happy you would think it was a Aston Martin parked in my driveway!

Easter 2011

We had a good Easter...

We decorated Easter eggs...

Cambri even helped. We also made stepping stones.

 Then Bella decorated all of them.

 And of course the Easter bunny came!

What A Walk

We got a family membership to a gym last summer but I haven't really used it other than to take Bella to the pool. Since I can't swim for 3 more weeks, and I am going stir crazy at home I decided the girls and I would walk the track while Johnny worked out. We walked a whole three miles and it felt great!

Water

Cambri is going through a growth spurt and it is causing her to be hungry and fussy. I figured since she is fussy anyway I would give her a bath and have a clean fussy baby.

The minute I put her in the bath she calmed down. When I took her out she decided to pee on me. I think she thought it would get her put back in the bath. When it didn't she started to scream, and screamed through the whole process all the way till she was dressed.

I couldn't help by smile and take a picture of her screaming because she wasn't in the water, which made me think of this...

Looks like the summer is going to be filled with lots of water!

Easter 2011

Saturday I took Bella to an Easter egg hunt, the first one since she was four. Why did we wait so long to take her on another Easter egg hunt? Well when she was four we took her to an Easter egg hunt and then afterward we went to see the Easter bunny. The costume the Easter bunny was wearing was not very good and she could see the person under the costumes hair. She panicked and cried and refused to go any closer to the bunny, and has had no desire to see him since. Until this year....

She had a great time, she even found a golden egg. And, as you can see she got over her fear of the Easter bunny!

I took some cute pictures of Cambri today because she was wide awake... she thinks she is too big for naps I guess. Also I have some of what she looks like when she does sleep. Just thought I would share them with you.

Ferocious, man eating, killer

Cambri is two weeks old today, so we thought it was a good time for her to meet our ferocious, man eating, killer pitbull.

As you can tell by the picture, he is getting a taste of her to see if she tastes as good as the other kids he has eaten!!!!! 

-I am just joking, my dog has not any eaten children. He is here to prove not all pitbulls are bad, no matter what the news may say. He gave Cambri the most gentle kiss on her foot and then walked away. Almost like he knew she was a baby and not one of Bella's dolls. I am so proud of him, as you know we were working so hard with his Doggy Kisses and it seems we were successful!

A Weekend Visit

This weekend my family came to visit.

Cambri met her uncles for the first time.

We watched a couple movies and went to bed.

Sunday we all went out to watch Johnny, my dad, and brother Aaron play football.

Then when we got home we celebrated my brother Christians 13th birthday! We grilled out and had German chocolate cake that my mom made.

It was a great weekend!

Due Date

Today is officially my due date and Cambri is 9 days old. We have had an eventful first week. Trips to the grocery store, a bath, a bottle, a doctors appointment, lots of visitors. Overall it has been a good 9 days. Here are some pictures.

Daddys Girls

Tomorrow is Johnny's birthday but because he goes back to work tomorrow I gave him his present a day early. I got him the Xbox Kinnect and Bella loved it!

And Cambri loved Daddy's kisses so much she smiled!

 

Even though Johnny liked the Kinnect, I don't think any gift will ever be as good as watching him enjoy the day with his two little girls. They really are the best gift ever! Happy Birthday Johnny, I love you!

Grocery Shopping

I meant to do it Thursday last week but Cambri decided that I didn't need to. We have been out of groceries for a few days now and had been eating out but it is expensive to do that, so we took our first trip to the grocery store. Cambri did great! She slept through the whole trip and although it took us two carts... one for her and one for the groceries we managed to get enough groceries to be able to eat for awhile. Now I just have to figure out how I can grocery shop with one cart for times when Johnny can't come with me.

Curiosity Killed The Cat

I don't believe you have been introduced to my cat Charlie. We adopted him from a shelter a little over 6 years ago and he has been the most perfect cat since. He is great with kids, he has absolutely no desire to go outside, (which is great because we have had 3 other cats run away in this time and its hard to explain to Bella) he doesn't get on the kitchen counters, he uses his litter box no matter how dirty it gets. Everything I could ask for in a cat he is. However now that Cambri is home he is curious about her. He just sits and watches her. During the day when I can supervise I let him watch, however at night its a different story. At night we go to bed and shut the door with the cat on the other side. This I know is bothering him because he normally sleeps in bed with us and instead is locked out. When I get up in the morning he is on the floor right outside the bedroom door. I feel bad because like I said he has been a perfect cat and never one to satisfy his curuosity but I can't trust him completely. After all curiosity did kill the cat.

The Joke Is On Us

Today was supposed to be Cambri's birthday. I was scheduled to be induced this morning. Cambri decided she would play an April fools joke on us by coming two days early. We had to change all of the plans we had made for the delivery at the last minute. Today instead of having a baby, I got to take one home. Best April fools joke ever!
